Slovak eGovernment of modern times using low-code/no-code technologies

The critical lack of personnel resources affects all visions and strategies of Slovak eGovernment. SAS analytical software helps realize eGovernment visions using low-code/no-code technologies.

Slovak e-government has long been near the bottom of the Digital Economy and Society Index (DESI), currently in 23rd place. According to Veronika Široká, broader deployment of low-code and no-code platforms in public administration could help it climb higher.

Why low-code and no-code make sense

No-code platforms allow building solutions through a graphical interface without programming, while low-code combines graphical tools with the option to add code. This opens the door to business people who know the problem and the logic of processes but are not developers. It brings faster implementation, because not everything is built custom from scratch, and at the same time greater flexibility thanks to standardized products. In our context, it is not so much about immediate cost savings as about better optimization: investing more in clearly defining the problem and applying solutions, and less in cumbersome development.
