Paas (Platform as a service) for the Ministry of the Interior - its benefits for OVM and IS suppliers
The subject of the project was the creation of a new layer of "Platform as a Service" services in the MVSR government cloud. As part of the delivered work, a native PaaS platform and platform services, Licensing PaaS automation and services, DevOps tools, Components, Backup services and pay per use Licenses were created for the purpose of verifying the functionality of the Licensing PaaS automation.
The result of the project is a significant contribution to the digitalization of Slovak e-government.
The Slovak government cloud has gained a new layer: Platform as a Service (PaaS). The project, commissioned by the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic and put into operation on September 30, aims to accelerate the creation and operation of state digital services. It delivers faster deployment, higher efficiency, and better use of infrastructure. PaaS is a cloud layer on top of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) that relieves agencies of the burden of installing, configuring, or maintaining technologies. In other words, it is a "chassis" into which applications and innovations can be quickly slotted, while the provider handles the operational details. As a result, the time from idea to working solution is shortened and the inefficient use of computing resources is reduced. The platform also simplifies monitoring and management, contributing to more stable and lower-cost operations. What PaaS is and why the government is adopting it
