Secure server-client platform for military purposes
For the military, NEXINEO offers a special solution with a high level of cyber security, which saves costs for IT equipment and its management. Instead of a classic computer or laptop, each user only has a miniature NEO display unit, which consumes only 5W and weighs 300g. The NEO display units are networked to the NEXI server, which supplies them with power. This server can also be used to store data and run applications, or just be connected to the organization's infrastructure and convey only graphic performance to the NEO display units, while applications/web applications and data can be stored in the organization without changes in its organizational structure - topology. A domain policy can be applied over this entire solution, as is customary for the given organization. For the purposes of using the NEXINEO solution in a cybernetically dangerous environment, the NEXINEO company can increase the security standard to meet the deployment in the military by implementing the Zero Trust security model.
Slovak company Nexo offers virtualized workstations in which personal computers are replaced by a miniature Neo unit connected to the central Nexi server. The solution is currently used by more than 550 organizations in four EU countries and targets lower costs, simpler management, and higher security. The foundation is moving compute and data to the server, which the user connects to via a lightweight endpoint. Instead of a standalone notebook or desktop, the user only needs a small Neo display unit, which attaches to the back of the monitor and is operated with a standard keyboard and mouse. Neo offers multiple USB ports, an audio input for headphones and a microphone, network connectivity, and weighs approximately 300 grams. Power consumption of just 5 W means low energy requirements and quiet, maintenance-free operation, as it contains no mechanical parts. The endpoints connect over the network to the central server, which provides computing power and applications. From computer to mini unit: what is Neo
