New imaging and sensor technologies for the defense industry
Remote sensing of the Earth using imaging and sensor carriers is currently an essential part of the defense industry. In cooperation with our partners from AIRBUS Defense and Space, EUSI (Maxar's European partner), Planet Labs and Capella Space, PHOTOMAP provides innovative solutions based on modern technologies in the subject area. New possibilities for monitoring, detection and analysis in defense applications will be presented using satellite, aerial and unmanned Earth exploration. You will be accompanied by the company's founder, Miloslav Ďurica, during the PHOTOMAP lecture.
The Slovak company Fotomap has presented what modern Earth remote sensing looks like today for both defense and the civil sector. From satellites through piloted aircraft to drones, it brings together various imaging and sensor technologies into a single functional ecosystem. The goal is to deliver usable data quickly and reliably even under challenging conditions. Fotomap, founded in 2003, specializes in satellite, aerial, and unmanned remote sensing of the Earth and also uses mobile mapping and surveying instruments. It has contractual partnerships with major satellite data providers such as Airbus Defence and Space, European Space Imaging, and Planet Labs to meet the needs of both the state and the private sector. The company is a member of the European remote sensing association and cooperates with the Slovak Space Office; in Košice, it participates in the newly established Východoslovenskom vesmírnom klastri. In addition, it operates its own fleet of piloted aircraft with specialized sensors and a fleet of drones. From satellites to drones: comprehensive Earth observation
