Needronix, Expert in Space Technology
Robert Lászlo has almost 40 years of experience in the development and production of microelectronic systems, devices and IT solutions. He worked for large multinational companies on important projects. He has extensive experience in the field of sensors and actively cooperates with leading companies, universities and research institutions on the realization of sensor technologies of the future. He was the designer, developer and integrator of the first Slovak satellite skCUBE and also of the second, very successful, scientific satellite GRBAlpha. In 2013, he founded the company Needronix, which manufactures and develops innovative sensor and telecommunication systems for space satellites in cooperation with the European Space Agency ESA. Eight space satellites use components from Needronix.

Are we reaching a state where the planet Earth will become one big global sensor? Technology development, miniaturization, high-level integration and modern radio communication technologies are all changing our view of sensorics today. The company Needronix specializes in the development and production of components for space satellites. We gain our experience in the field of space technologies, satellite development, the demanding process of manufacturing space components, as well as their validation and verification, through close cooperation with the European Space Agency. These experiences allow us to push the boundaries of what is possible already today. Needronix has the ambition to start building a constellation of small satellites, which will be one of the pillars of a distributed ground network of micro sensors. What is the potential of the distributed network of micro sensors and how it is related to the growing industry of newspace, I will briefly tell you about it during my lecture.
