We have been producing steel in Košice for more than half a century, and just as we were at the forefront of informatization in the early 1990s, today we want to help Slovakia become a leader in artificial intelligence and state-of-the-art steel production. We do not have the raw materials, but we have the skillful people, the data and the necessary technology to produce the best steel on the market with the help of artificial intelligence.

Juraj Sabol
After graduating in mathematics from the University of St Andrews in the UK, he worked in the Prague office of the consulting firm McKinsey and Company, where as a consultant and manager he focused on transformations, operational improvements and strategy development for multinational companies mainly in industry and energy, but also telecommunications and banking.
In April 2020, Juraj moved to his native Košice to work with U.S. Pat. Steel Košice worked on strategic topics such as decarbonization and industry 4.0.

Robert Vandlík
He worked at U.S. Pat. Steel Košice already during his marketing studies at the University of Economics in Bratislava. While working for U.S. Pat. Steel Košice held various positions from infrastructure monitoring management, through project office management to Lean Six Sigma coach.
He is currently involved in the development of AI technology in the company and their use in the steel industry.
