9:45 - 10:10 Telemedicine in Practice: The German Perspective on the Digital Transformation of Healthcare (hall LONDON I+II)

Telemedicine in Germany is a rapidly developing field that is fundamentally changing access to healthcare. The legal and regulatory environment supports its expansion, but it also brings new challenges. In everyday medical practice, it is mainly used for consultations, patient monitoring, and remote diagnosis. It brings benefits in the form of more accessible care, more efficient use of time, and better cooperation between specialists. Still, it also faces limitations in terms of personal contact, technical barriers, and data security issues. The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly accelerated its adoption and demonstrated its potential for the future. Modern trends include the use of artificial intelligence, wearable devices, and integration with electronic health records. German experience shows that telemedicine can improve treatment outcomes and can be a valuable inspiration for Slovakia in shaping strategies for its successful development.

10:10 - 10:55 The Hospitals of the Future: Robots, Rehabilitation, Data, and Next-Generation Diagnostics (hall LONDON I+II)

Surgical robots, digital platforms, and smart buildings are becoming the foundation of modern hospitals. However, another key element is the new generation of diagnostic tools—from photonic screening to hyperspectral imaging to AI-assisted diagnostics—which can detect diseases faster and more accurately than traditional methods. The hospital of the future is a connected ecosystem where robots operate with millimeter precision, IT systems control the operation of the facility, and diagnostic technologies provide doctors with immediate results. What are the latest technological trends, what does practice in Slovakia bring, and what does a hospital look like where robotics is a fundamental element of modern medicine?

What role does artificial intelligence play in detecting threats in real time? And what are the experiences of hospitals that have already been attacked? This block will bring together the experiences of experts, practical examples, and recommendations for hospitals and the state.

13:30 - 14:30 Masterclass: Self-Defense for Healthcare Professionals (hall LONDON III)

How to defend yourself not only physically, but also mentally? This interactive masterclass will introduce a globally recognized approach to preventing and managing aggression that combines self-defense, psychology, and communication skills. We will focus on real-life situations in the healthcare environment, where tension between the organization, patients, and staff can escalate into conflict. Participants will learn to recognize warning signs, respond with respect and firmness, and protect not only their bodies but also their mental well-being. Together, we will go through the five pillars of ESD – Think, Shout, Run, Fight, Share – and translate them into specific steps for daily practice by healthcare professionals. We draw inspiration from research and practice at renowned institutions in the US and Israel, where ESD is part of the training of healthcare personnel and emergency services. The masterclass will show you how to turn uncertainty into confidence and stress into resilience – because protecting yourself means protecting others.

How does it affect decision-making, reflexes, and empathy? Who are the "supermen" in healthcare, and what types of fatigue do we know? How to talk about fatigue without fear of consequences, and what are the first steps to transforming a culture of silence into a culture of safety?

15:05 - 15:20 Europe at the Crossroads of Innovation – EU Pharma Package (hall LONDON I+II)

The revision of EU pharmaceutical legislation – the so-called Pharma Package – represents a historic opportunity to set new rules for research, registration, and availability of medicines in Europe. The reform aims to improve patient access to innovative treatments, increase crisis preparedness, and strengthen the environmental sustainability of the sector. However, the proposals raise concerns: shorter data protection periods, new obligations for manufacturers, and pressure on affordability could weaken Europe's competitiveness in the global battle for investment. Trilogues – negotiations among the Commission, Parliament, and Council – are currently underway to determine the final form of the legislation. The discussion will raise fundamental questions about the balance between public interest, support for innovation, and patient protection in smaller Member States.
