Slovakia has tens of thousands of IT professionals, but is still waiting for its global leader. How will the advent of artificial intelligence, talent shortages, and increasing regulatory pressures impact the Slovak IT industry? Can the state be the engine of the digital economy, or will it continue to be a hindrance? A discussion between successful women from leading IT companies and institutions will provide direct answers to where the Slovak IT sector has its limitations and where, conversely, it has the most significant opportunities for growth.

The masterclass will focus on highlighting the advantages and limitations of using local AI models, for example, for vibecoding. An alternative will be presented as running AI directly on a computer, with the key compromise being between model size and available video memory. Practical demonstrations will show how to communicate with AI models on standard hardware using a model communication mediation tool. The demonstrations will include chatting with a document, generating image content, and using AI as an assistant for developers in a code editor. The possibilities of local communication with AI on a laptop and on a specialized AI workstation will be compared. The masterclass will emphasize how the right choice and placement of an AI model affect performance, costs, and data control.
