Program - ITAPA AI 2025
Building a new generation of AI systems paves the way for flexible and scalable platforms that can effectively connect development, deployment, and management of artificial intelligence. These are modern solutions that can be applied in practice across various industries. How do modern tools and open technologies enable faster innovation, safer operation, and easier integration?

Artificial intelligence is fundamentally changing the face of education, science, and research. In this keynote speech, we will look at current technological trends that are shaping the future of AI – from personalized learning to new interdisciplinary applications in industry, healthcare, and public administration. We will present specific research projects at the Slovak University of Technology and explore the challenges, opportunities, and limitations that await the academic environment as it adapts to the rapidly evolving AI ecosystem.

How can artificial intelligence impact Slovak schools in the years to come? The discussion will present the National Plan for the Integration of AI into the Education System 2025–2027, which includes teaching about AI in primary and secondary schools, tools for personalized learning, and AI assistance for teachers. The goal is the safe, ethical, and inclusive use of technologies that promote equality, reduce the burden on teachers, and prepare students for the digital future. How can we ensure that AI both helps and does not harm? And are we, as a country, ready for this transformation?

The widespread availability of LLM tools such as ChatGPT has rapidly changed the way university students work. While students now utilize AI tools wherever possible, teachers and administrators are discussing how to address this. At first glance, it may seem that teachers are struggling with AI tools in education, but in reality, students may have a significant problem. At first glance, it may seem that teachers are struggling with AI tools in education, but in reality, students may have an important issue and not even be aware of it. What challenges have LLM tools brought to higher education? What are the options for dealing with them, and which options are right and which are wrong? What do teachers need to watch out for, and what should students watch out for? And what do employers expect? This presentation will raise many questions—some we can look for answers to together, some we will have to figure out on our own.

The masterclass will present a controlled environment where participants will have the opportunity to make decisions about implementing artificial intelligence in real-world conditions of a Slovak company undergoing digital transformation. It focuses on issues such as the division of responsibility between humans and systems, the changing role of managers, ethical dilemmas, the need for agility, working with data, and decisions that humans should still make. The goal is not to evaluate the technology, but to understand how AI is changing the dynamics of team management, processes, and corporate culture. Through analysis, discussion, and simulation, participants will experience situations that managers encounter in practice—but this time in an environment transformed by artificial intelligence.
Miroslava Šáchová, AI Associations
An interview with neurologist Ondřej Volný will provide a front-line perspective on how artificial intelligence is being applied in science, clinical practice and rule-making. We will discuss the current situation in the Czech Republic, the impact of the upcoming AI Act, the state of local standards, and a forthcoming monograph on AI in medicine. The discussion will offer an interesting overview of the opportunities and challenges that AI brings to the healthcare sector.

Artificial intelligence is fundamentally changing the way modern industry works – from optimising production processes to predictive maintenance and automated decision-making. This panel will focus on how AI is influencing business management, changing the roles of leaders and employees, and what new skills will be needed in the era of an innovative industry. We will initiate a discussion on the boundary between automation and autonomy, how to manage change in corporate culture, and what adaptation to AI entails from both technological and strategic development perspectives. Future competitive advantages will not only depend on technology, but also on the ability to understand it, deploy it correctly, and manage it ethically.

There is conflicting information everywhere about what AI is and how to utilize it; leaders recognize the need to integrate it into their processes, but few understand how to do so in a way that delivers measurable value to the company. But the real revolution does not come with a new tool, but only when we learn how to integrate it into human work and decision-making meaningfully.
