Deputy Prime Minister Richard Raši was born on April 4, 1971 in Košice. After finishing his studies at the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, he obtained the first and second degree specialization in surgery and traumatology. Between 2004 and 2010 he obtained MPH and PhD titles. In 2008 he was appointed Minister of Health of the Slovak Republic. After the parliamentary elections in 2010, he became a member of the National Council of the Slovak Republic. In the same year he was elected mayor of Košice. Since March 2018, Richard Raši has been Deputy Prime Minister for Investment and Informatisation.
